Privacy Policy

Who we are
This site is operated by Take a Seat ("we," "us"). Take a Seat is currently an early-stage project, not yet a registered company. For any privacy question, contact us at eytakeaseata@gmail.com.
What we collect
We do not run any account system, and this site has no forms that collect personal data directly. Two things are collected:
- Anonymous analytics: we use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It does not use cookies and does not collect or store personally identifying information. It counts page views and approximate visit volume by computing a rotating, anonymized identifier from your IP address and browser — the raw IP is not retained. It cannot be used to identify you individually or track you across other websites.
- Language preference: stored locally in your own browser (
localStorage), never sent to us or any third party, used only so the site remembers your chosen language on your next visit.
Data storage & tracking
This site does not use cookies. The table below covers the only local data storage and tracking in use:
| Name | Type | Set by | Purpose | Duration | Requires consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| — | Not applicable (cookieless) | Umami | Anonymous visit/page-view counts | Not applicable | No — no personal data processed |
takeaseat-lang | localStorage | This site | Remembers your chosen language | Until cleared | No — strictly necessary |
Because Umami doesn't use cookies or process personal data for this purpose, no consent banner is required under current EU/EEA guidance. If we ever switch to a tool that does use cookies or process personal data, this page and a consent mechanism will be updated before that tool starts running — not after.
Legal basis for processing
The anonymous analytics above are collected on the basis of legitimate interest in understanding site traffic, and do not constitute personal data processing under GDPR since no individual can be identified or re-identified from it. The local storage described above similarly relies on legitimate interest in operating the site as you'd expect (remembering your own choice), and does not require consent under most EU/EEA implementations of the ePrivacy Directive.
Third parties
Anonymous visit data is processed by Umami (Umami Software, Inc.), acting as our analytics provider. See umami.is/privacy for their own privacy practices.
Your rights
If you're in the EU/EEA (or another jurisdiction with similar protections), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data, and to data portability. Since we don't collect any identifying personal data today, there's generally nothing to request — but for any question, contact eytakeaseata@gmail.com, or lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
